Standing in the Botanic Gardens in Rio de Janeiro sampling these cherries from neighbouring Suriname was definitely a pleasure. Fortunately they are already in NZ though little known so far. A bushy small leafed tree with cherry size fruit, often with vertical ridges like a tiny pumpkin. Very tasty. 3m
